TotalProtect Survey – Reveals Home Repair Insights

For the majority of homeowners it is important to find an experienced repair person that you can trust to get the job done the first time. To help us understand our customers better, we wanted to learn more about homeowners and their feelings towards the home repair process.
TotalProtect recently conducted a national survey to ask consumers what the biggest challenge to have a major appliance or home system repaired or replaced. Here are the results we found: 56 percent of the consumers said finding a reliable repair person was their top concern; Fear of being scammed by the repair person ranked second on the list with nearly 35 percent.; and 26 percent found scheduling the repair and finding time to meet the repair person was their biggest challenge. Overall, women were 13 percent more challenged than men in finding a reliable repair person, and nearly 4 percent of women were fearful of the same breakdown re-occurring.
