Which TotalProtect Home Warranty plans qualify for this offer?

This offer applies only to the Combo plan (whole home coverage) – not valid on Appliances-only, Systems-only, or Electronics plans.

Where is the offer valid?

Some states legally restrict these types of offers. If you live in one of these states – currently AZ, IA, MA, TX and WA – we're unable to extend this offer to you. However, our flexible pricing and deductible options mean you're sure to find a plan that fits your needs and budget.

TotalProtect does not offer warranties in AK or HI.

How do I get it?

Respond to your direct mail or email invitation, if you received one. If not, call 866.212.6475 to inquire.

Can this be combined with other TotalProtect offers?

Sorry, this cannot be combined with other offers.

What version of the Nest Protect is included in the offer?

The offer includes the new second generation Nest Protect smoke + CO alarm that has just become available.  

Do I get a choice of Nest Protect devices?

Yes. You can select either battery powered or wired. Just let us know your preference when signing up by phone or online.

Who is responsible for sending me my Nest Protect device?

TotalProtect will provide Nest your customer information as well as your preference for a hard-wired or battery-powered device.  Nest will then send the device directly to you.

When will I receive my Nest Protect?

You should receive your Nest Protect within 4-6 weeks after purchasing a qualifying TotalProtect plan.

What should I do if I have not received my Nest Protect in the expected timeframe?

I'd like more than one Nest Protect. How can I get additional devices?

Having multiple alarms is a great idea. We can set you up with the first one, but you'll need to visit nest.com or a local retailer to purchase more.

How do I know if I need the wired or battery version?

To decide if you'd like wired or battery version of Nest Protect, just check which kind of smoke alarm you have now, then switch it out for the same type: 

There is no restriction on which can be chosen, but only one device will be sent as part of this promotion.

 

 

What if I cancel my warranty? Can I keep the Nest Protect?

The Nest Protect is yours to keep once it's delivered to you. But, if you cancel your TotalProtect plan within 30 days of the warranty effective date, you will be charged for the retail cost of the Nest Protect (currently $99).

I ordered the wrong version of Nest Protect. Can I exchange it?
